Eid Al Fitr is an important celebration in the Islamic calendar. It is also known as Ramadan Bayram and the Festival of Breaking the Fast. On this day, Muslims visit each other, exchange greetings, and give gifts. It's a perfect opportunity to enjoy a celebratory dinner with loved ones, featuring a wide array of dishes – from meat dishes to sweet desserts.
We decided to create a recipe that would be perfect for an Eid Al Fitr dinner and that would combine the distinct and aromatic character of Masala Chai tea with the timeless flavor of bread pudding.
Such a dessert will not only delight the palate but also fit into the joyful atmosphere of the celebration!
What ingredients are needed to prepare bread pudding?
- 5 teaspoons of Masala Chai tea
- 3 eggs
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons pudding powder
- 2 tablespoons butter
- ⅔ cup milk
- 3 tablespoons raisins
- slices of bread
- vanilla ice cream (optional)

How to prepare bread pudding?
- Mix butter with warm milk and brew the tea leaves in this mixture.
- After brewing the tea, strain the leaves to get a smooth mixture.
- In a separate bowl, mix eggs with sugar and cinnamon powder.
- Add pudding powder to the milk mixture.
- Gradually add the milk mixture to the egg, sugar and cinnamon mixture. Mix thoroughly with a whisk until smooth.
- Prepare an ovenproof dish where you will layer slices of bread alternately with the smooth mixture, creating layers.
- Sprinkle the top with raisins.
- Bake the pudding in a preheated oven at 160℃ for 40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
- After baking, serve the pudding warm. To enhance and complement the flavor, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to the baked good.
