How to make tea that tastes like mulled wine?

Are you a tea and mulled wine lover? How about making a hot non-alcoholic infusion that tastes like mulled wine bought at a Christmas fair? In this post, we will present you with a simple and pleasant recipe for an aromatic tea dominated by spicy and citrus flavors with a hint of sweetness!

What ingredients are needed to prepare a warming tea that tastes like mulled wine?

  • A composition of black Ceylon tea leaves and spices, e.g. Basilur Alpine Lake
  • Fresh orange cut into slices
  • Ginger
  • Cloves
  • 2-3 teaspoons of mulled wine spice
  • 2 teaspoons of raspberry juice
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 3 dried cinnamon sticks
  • Star anise

How to prepare warming tea that tastes like mulled wine?

  1. Important! Choose the right amount of tea leaves – 1 teaspoon of tea per 120-150 ml of water.
  2. Boil water in a pot.
  3. Once the water starts to boil, reduce the heat. Then add the tea leaves to the water.
  4. Add to the boiling tea: orange slices, ginger pieces, cloves, mulled wine spice, raspberry juice, honey and 2 dried cinnamon sticks.
  5. Cook over low heat for 10-15 minutes.
  6. In the meantime , prepare the remaining orange slices and stick the cloves into them (they will serve as a decorative element for the tea).
  7. Once the tea is ready, pour it into a glass.
  8. Finally , add a slice of orange with cloves, a star anise and a cinnamon stick to the tea.
